Earlham, Iowa – Bricker-Price Block today announces the bittersweet closure of Flourish Mercantile, but with every ending comes a new beginning. We are excited to share the buzz of a new store coming to our historic building soon called The Botanical Bodega.
Owned and operated by Kyle and Stephanie Canoyer, The Botanical Bodega will be a plant shop and social lounge inspired by a location Canoyers visit while vacationing in Florida.
“We are excited to bring our love of plants coupled with a speakeasy lounge vibe to our Hallmark town. It will be a great place to shop, sip and be social,” said Stephanie Canoyer
After 3 years of serving the community, Flourish Mercantile will be closing its doors on Sunday, December 15th. Owners Katie & Jeremy Adams took over ownership of Flourish Mercantile on April 1st, 2024, and they have decided they are ready for their next adventure.
"We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to serve our town. It was fun curating Iowa-made and Iowa-focused gifts for community members and visitors alike. With our decision to sell Stuart Flowers & Gifts came our decision to move on from operating Flourish. We look forward to what's next at Bricker Price Block,” said Katie Adams, Flourish Mercantile
“We’ve seen so much evolution in our historic building since the very begining 124 years ago. While we are sad to see our friends at Flourish Mercantile go, we are excited to for our next evolution with The Botanical Bodega,” said Allissa Johnson, Executive Director of Bricker-Price Block.
The Botanical Bodega will begin renovations in January, and plan to open in spring 2025.
